G’day, I’m Travis, Founder of Jargon Support.
I help tradies and small business owners get online with proper websites that actually bring in work.
No confusing tech talk, no agency price tags, just simple solutions that get results.
I’ve been into tech since I was about five years old (~1998). Computers, coding, gaming, building PCs, troubleshooting .. if it came apart or had a function, I wanted to figure out how it worked. Away from the screen, I’ve always been a car nut and hobby mechanic. Over the years I’ve built cars, tuned them, and even converted my own 1990 Mazda MX5 into a turbo project car I’m still working on today.
That “figure it out, never quit” approach has carried into my work life. After trying a few different industries, I landed a role at MyWork Australia, a local website design agency. Over the last 10+ years there I’ve worked alongside expert coders, designers, and industry leaders, gaining hands-on experience in website design, digital marketing, and client consulting. I’m still there today, and that experience has shaped the way I run Jargon Support.
Over time, I noticed the same problem again and again: small business owners and tradies either struggling with a DIY website that never worked, or getting burned by agencies that overpromised and underdelivered.
I wanted to create something better. Jargon Support is built around low-cost, high-quality websites that don’t eat up hours of your time. My “jack of all trades” background means I can take care of the full process (design, build, hosting, and setup) without needing endless input from you. Clients save time, money, and stress, while still getting a professional website they’re proud of.
I keep things simple. No tech jargon, no long-winded pitches, just clear advice and proven strategies that work.
My values are pretty straightforward too:
– Honesty: straight answers, no fluff
– Clarity: you’ll always know what’s happening
– Affordability: professional results without agency overheads
– Reliability: I’ll get the job done properly, every time
I often describe myself as a translator. I can talk to designers, developers, and techies in their language, but then explain it back to you in a way that actually makes sense.
That way, you can make confident decisions without feeling overwhelmed.
I specialise in tradies and service-based small businesses .. the kinds of businesses that want a professional online presence without the stress of building it themselves.
Over the past decade I’ve worked with thousands of small business owners across Australia, many of them tradies in fields like plumbing, painting, electrical, building, and more.
Whether it’s your first website to get your business online, fixing or upgrading DIY and first-attempt websites into something that actually works, or even consulting on eCommerce projects ..my focus is the same: making the process hands-free, affordable, and effective.
Over the past decade working in websites and digital marketing, I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. I’ve consulted with thousands of small business owners, helping them improve their online presence and, most importantly, turn that presence into real enquiries and income.
My experience covers:
– Website design and usability: building sites that look good and actually convert
– SEO and Google rankings: getting businesses found online without wasting money
– Digital marketing strategy: knowing when to invest in ads, social, or content (and when not to)
– Troubleshooting and optimisation: spotting issues that stop a site from making money and fixing them fast
– Client education: breaking down the digital world so business owners can make confident decisions without the jargon
I’m not about short-cuts or shiny gimmicks. My focus is helping tradies and small business owners build a digital presence that’s sustainable, affordable, and actually grows their business over time.
I’m big on giving value beyond the project itself. Through my YouTube channel, website resources, and email newsletter, I share simple explanations for common digital questions like “What’s a domain?” or “How does hosting work?”.
My goal is to help tradies and small business owners build enough understanding of the digital space so they don’t get ripped off, and so they feel confident navigating conversations with other providers.
Outside of work, I’m a family man. I’ve been with my wife Jayme for over 10 years, and together we homeschool our two kids. We’ve also got a dog who keeps things interesting. As a family, we love camping trips in our Pajero, getting outdoors, and living life on our own terms.
When I do get time to myself, you’ll probably find me under the bonnet of my MX5, or playing a few rounds on the PS5.
Jargon Support isn’t just about websites .. it’s about giving Aussie tradies and small business owners the tools to succeed online. My vision is to grow Jargon Support into a trusted resource hub, with YouTube, social content, and eventually online courses covering websites, SEO, AI, and more.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: To make it easy and affordable for small businesses to get a website that brings in work, ranks on Google, and helps them move toward more freedom .. whether that means winning more jobs or even getting off the tools one day.
